FAQ: For the virtual part of EFCF Conference
-
If I can't physically attend EFCF what are my options for presenting my work?
We will be offering several options including pre recorded presentations and live streamed presentations.
-
What happens if my presentation is live streamed but is at an inconvenient time?
We are planning to move presentations from USA, Canada and Asia to the European afternoon, so the time difference should not be an issue.
-
Will I need to be available online to answer questions about my presentation?
Live presence (even for pre-recorded presentaions) would be greatly appreciated if possible.
-
Will the live presentations be recorded so I can watch them later?
Yes. All onsite presentations will be recorded and made available to registered conference attendees.
-
Who can view how long the recorded presentations and where?
After the conference the recorded presentations will only be made available in the www.EFCF.ocm/MemberZone, where only registered conference participants have access and
can review, what they were anyway able to see. Therefore the access is limited to the "Insider". -
How will I answer questions about my presentation if I am not able to be online?
Ideally we would encourage all authors to be online at the time of their presentation, however we do understand that in some cases this might not be possible.
If this is the case EFCF must be informed 2 weeks in advance so we can discuss alternative solutions with you. -
Will virtual participants be able to ask questions about the presentations?
Yes. Virtual participants will be able to put questions in the live chat, and the session Chairs will read these out.
-
What software will I need to take part in the virtual conference?
Zoom.
You can download Zoom for free here. -
What format does my pre-recorded presentation need to be in?
An MP4 is best.
Full guidance and instructions on converting other formats and recording your presentation will be sent out in September.
Naturally we will also be on hand to offer assistance and answer questions where required.
